Privacy Policy

TrustLens AI ("we", "our", or "us") is a web application and browser extension that helps users verify AI-generated content against real-world evidence. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service at canitrustai.company and our browser extension.

Text you submit for verification: When you paste text into TrustLens and click Verify, that text is processed by our servers to extract claims and search for evidence. We store the results (trust score, claims, sources) in our database to generate shareable report links. IP address (hashed): We use a one-way hash of your IP address solely to enforce free-tier rate limits (5 verifications per day). We do not store your raw IP address. Pro key: If you subscribe to a paid plan, we generate a unique UUID pro key and store it in our database. This key is also stored in your browser's localStorage. We do not link pro keys to personal identity. We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information unless you contact us directly.

Contract Review (canitrustai.company/doc) lets you upload a document (PDF, DOCX, TXT, or Markdown) or paste text. We do not keep the uploaded file itself — we extract the text and discard the file. By default, the extracted text and the analysis report are stored so your saved report and share link keep working. They are retained until you request deletion. Privacy Mode: if you enable Privacy Mode ("analyze without saving") before analyzing, the document is processed in memory only — no report is stored, no share link is created, and nothing is retained after the analysis. The document text is still sent to Anthropic's Claude API to perform the analysis itself. Only upload documents you are authorized to analyze. See the Acceptable Use Policy for details.

The TrustLens AI browser extension (for Chrome) injects a "Verify with TrustLens" button on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity pages. The extension: • Does not read, collect, or transmit the content of your conversations • Only activates when you explicitly click the Verify button • Passes the selected AI response text to canitrustai.company for verification • Reads your pro key from localStorage to send with verification requests The extension does not track your browsing history or activity on any website.

We use the information we collect to: • Perform claim verification and return trust reports • Generate shareable report links • Enforce free-tier rate limits • Verify paid subscription status We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services to operate TrustLens: • Anthropic (Claude API): Text submitted for verification is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to extract and verify claims. Anthropic's privacy policy applies. • Tavily: We use the Tavily search API to find web evidence for claims. Search queries derived from your submitted text are sent to Tavily. • Supabase: We store verification results in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database. • Stripe: If you subscribe, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store payment card information. • Vercel: Our application is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure.

Verification results (trust reports) and stored document text are retained to support shareable report links until you request deletion. Hashed IP rate-limit records are reset daily. Privacy Mode analyses are never stored. To delete your data, email wnguyen@myinfinivue.com with the report link — we will delete the report and any stored document text. Self-service deletion is on the roadmap.

TrustLens does not use tracking cookies. We use the browser's sessionStorage to temporarily pass text between pages during verification. If you have a paid plan, your pro key is stored in localStorage so you do not need to re-enter it.

TrustLens AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of TrustLens after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
